Drive-through to wipe out COVID-19 코로나19 위기 극복 ‘드라이브 스루 서비스’ Drive-through service is one of the measures that have been introduced to stimulate the shrinking consumption amid the COVID-19 spread. As drivers don’t have to blow into the breathalyser, it has been considered as an hygienic drive-through measure. And a temporary drive-through civil affairs center has been built by an office of education in Daejeon. It is to help people deal with the civil affairs documents. When a person visits the drive-through center located in the parking lot of the office of eduction, he can wait inside a car and the person in charge can check the documents. A musical instrument library located in Osan City has introduced a drive-through method to lend the musical instrument, considering the decreasing number of library users because of the COVID-19 spread. People can make an application in advance through a website. Also, they can lend the instrument simply by filling out the form and showing their ID card. Aside from drive-through, a walk-through service is also provided for people who are difficult to bring their own cars. And they can take books from the library when using drive-through or walk-through services. We report on drive-through services which have been introduced to better deal with the rapid changes taking place in the society along with the spread of COVID-19. 최근 코로나19로 인한 소비의 침체에서 벗어나기 위해 쓰인 방법 중 대세는 단연 ‘드라이브 스루 서비스’인데, 차로 물건을 주고받으며 코로나19 속 언택트 문화 중 하나로 자리 잡고 있다. 최근 코로나19 여파로 음주운전 단속이 중단되었다가 새로운 ‘드라이브 스루’ 버전으로 재기한 모습이다. 도로에 S자형 차량 주행 라인을 만들어 한 대씩 통과시키면서 운전 형태를 보고 의심 차량을 골라내는 방식이다. 운전자 입장에서는 수많은 사람들이 불었던 음주 측정기를 불지 않고 지나갈 수 있어 위생적으로 안전하는 평을 듣고 있다. 최근 대전의 한 교육청에서는 민원서류를 발급하고 제출할 수 있는 임시 드라이브 스루 민원센터를 만들었다. 교육청 주차장에 있는 민원센터에 차를 타고 가서 차량 내에서 서류를 제출하고 담당 직원이 확인하는 방식이다. 오산시의 한 악기 전문 도서관에서는 드라이브 스루 방식으로 악기를 대여해준다. 홈페이지로 신청하거나 직접 와서 신청하고 신분증을 제시하기만 하면 된다. 악기 대여는 물론 도서 대여도 가능하며 워킹 스루 서비스도 제공하고 있다. 코로나19로 인해 찾아온 급격한 사회변화 속 위기를 극복하는 ‘드라이브 스루 서비스’를 알아본다.
